أنا وأنت

بقلم: تهاني عدس

سألها: ماذا يعني لها؟

أجابته باستغراب:

أيُومًا، سألتْ الأرضُ القمرَ: لماذا يدور حولها؟

هل سأل الصباحُ الشمسَ: لماذا أرسلتْ له أشعتها؟

هل سألتْ الشجرةُ الغصنَ: لماذا يحمل أوراقها؟

أسمعتَ مرةً عن جسدٍ يسألُ روحًا: ماذا يعني لها؟

وهكذا، أنا وأنت…

فأنا أرضٌ وأنت قمري..

أنا صباحٌ وأنت شمسي..

أنا شجرةٌ وأنت غصني…

وأنا جسدٌ وأنت روحي….

Translation:

He once asked her: What do I meant to you?

She replied:

Has the Earth ever asked the Moon: Why do you revolve around me?

Has the morning ever asked the sun: Why do you send your rays to me?

Has the tree ever asked the branch: Why do you bear my leaves?

Have you ever heard of a soul asking a body: What do I mean to you?

And so, it is with you and me…

For I am the earth and you are my moon…

I am the morning and you are my sun…

I am the tree and you are my branch…

And I am the body and you are my soul…
